About a month ago I finally cleaned out my perfume "stash".  Though I still have quite a formidable collection still it feels so nice to have it sized down to ones that have managed to still remain enjoyable or special to my nose.

I have also been trying to come up with a better way for me to categorize my scents in a way that makes sense for me.  For the longest time I was categorizing them by season and I have since switched that to the more commonly used habit of separating them according to their distinct scent profile.  In retrospect that would seem to always have been the best choice, I mean why stray away from what the experts do right?  I am certainly no expert but I am certain about my likes.  Rather than just restate my entire collection in a Blog post which I had done much earlier this time I am doing short videos on my favorite scent profiles from my own collection.

Today I will be highlighting what I consider to be my favorite "Green" scents from my own personal perfume collection.  Please understand that these perfumes are what I see as a green scent even though they may not be listed as a green centric scent on on sites like Fragantica.com which I use all the time.  What my nose detects as green may be entirely different for someone else so this really is all subject to individual interpretation for the most part.  To be begin with I pulled 7 scents from my collection which I think are my "greenest".

The first in this new series is from the house of Lolita Lempicka a house well known for quality and enduring scents in the range.  I personally love the original Lolita and have worn that for years.  The only other Lolita that I have acquired since is Si Lolita Eau de Toilette.  The EDP for the Si Lolita came out in 2009 and the EDT was released in 2011.  This is only regarding the EDT as I never had an opportunity to try her predecessor.

On the Lolita Lempicka website it quotes this perfume as being one " who is as natural as she is fashionable, gentle and full of sparkle."  I would heartily agree with this being a scent for a naturally gamine and laughing woman with a twinkle in her eye and a chuckle behind her dimpled and coy smile.

On Fragantica this is listed as a "bright and cheerful" fragrance with warm base notes.  It is said to be a lighter and more playful version of the original Si with more green notes and lacking the heavier spice and licorice notes of the former.  I believe my skin loves the green notes and I really detect that in the initial spray and in fact it lasts throughout the entire wear time which is about 3 hours for me.  Its definately one of those that gets sweeter in the dry

down and with that almost spearmint vibe in the green accords its like walking through a spring garden after a morning rain whilst enjoying a mint in the morning.  That refreshing blast of mint surrounding the scent of sweet peas and spicy flora is what this perfume continues to be throughout the dry down.  I find it delightful and youthful.  The greeness of Si Lolita is such a sweet girly-girl kind of perfume.  Like a tree full of youthful glowing green leaves in Spring this is what this scent brings to mind for me.

I like this little treasure and as ALL the bottles from this House the presentation is gorgeous with a 4 leaf clover glass bottle with frosted edges and golden details along with the signature fabric scarf which in the EDT is red with white and green.  A true feminine and sweet/green perfume for the summer sprite in your heart.

Hope you enjoyed the first in a series of 7 of my favorite green scents in my personal perfume collection and my next green perfume I will showcase will be by ma griffe by Carven.
