The reason why I decided to write a post is because I really fancy hard to find, niche or unusual designer perfumes that I haven't tried yet, or have an interest in a certain fragrance profile. I try to find reviews or even anything outside of an advert for some perfumes and there is nada! Why is that? I don't want to just do perfume collections. I really enjoy individual perfume reviews. The more obscure the better! There are a few perfume reviewers that I really enjoy their content and they are funny and just very enjoyable to watch, I will recommend them below so do check them out.
Why is it that the female fragrance community is so disjointed on YouTube? I myself should qualify this by saying that because of some life trials recently I have done nothing with my Channel regarding posting the last few months. My last post was about my current status and asking for patience from my viewers and readers. I really appreciate all that have stuck with me throughout this time.
As an example last night I stayed up trying to find one, just ONE fragrance review of a designer perfume that I was very interested in. It's not niche and its not discontinued. I found quite a few reviews on online perfume forums like Fragantica.com but absolutely nothing on YouTube. Also, I found tons of videos regarding the male equivalent to the perfume I was looking for but no perfume reviews. I really find reviews fun to watch. This seems typcial. I will look for a video review and find absolutely nothing about to watch-only read. I love reading reviews but for me I really enjoy seeing the effect of a fragrance in real time.
So because of that I have decided to really focus on individual perfume reviews for my YouTube Channel because perhaps its a void that hasn't been filled yet and maybe others that want to expand the perfume fragrance community online will jump on board and we can make it better for all of us with our interest in Perfumery of all sorts.
The mens fragrance community is a lot of fun and interesting and I have found them to be overall very nice and supportive. So if you are a female perfumista and like myself find the community on YouTube to be sparse then please jump in the "proverbial" desert and make individual perfume reviews. Start with what you own and like and perhaps do collaborations with other fragrance YouTuber's like myself and many others. I would LOVE to collab with someone regarding my obsession with the nose to brain connection.
Since I have not been able to find the reviews I would love to see regarding perfume I will do my best to make a dent in individual perfume reviews. Thank you to all my supporters. Every single one of you that has commented, liked, subscribed or just watched a video or read a post. I appreciate every single one of you. This is not something I do to make money, this is my passion and for me its a sublime hobby that I love to share with others because it brings me so much joy.
